In South Australia vaping is legal, but it is subject to various restrictions:
- The use of vapes with e-liquid containing nicotine with a valid doctors prescription is legal
- Importing nicotine for personal use from overseas is legal, with a prescription from a doctor
- The sale of vapes or e-liquids containing nicotine is illegal, unless being sold from a pharmacy
- Vaping in indoor and outdoor smoke-free zones is legal
- Promotional advertising in retail stores of vapes is legal
- Using vapes in cars with children under the age of 16 is illegal
- Selling any vape to people under the age of 18 is illegal
