Are Vapes Illegal in South Australia? Vape Laws Explained

In South Australia vaping is legal, but it is subject to various restrictions:

  • The use of vapes with e-liquid containing nicotine with a valid doctors prescription is legal
  • Importing nicotine for personal use from overseas is legal, with a prescription from a doctor
  • The sale of vapes or e-liquids containing nicotine is illegal, unless being sold from a pharmacy
  • Vaping in indoor and outdoor smoke-free zones is legal
  • Promotional advertising in retail stores of vapes is legal
  • Using vapes in cars with children under the age of 16 is illegal
  • Selling any vape to people under the age of 18 is illegal

URGENT: The Federal Government recently announce planned changes and bans surrounding vapes that could see these laws change.  Click here to read the announcement, and make your voice heard by signing the petition and emailing your MP
