Are Vapes Illegal in NSW and ACT? Vape Laws Explained

Australian Vaping Laws

In New South Wales and the ACT vaping is legal, but it is subject to various restrictions:

  • The use of vapes with e-liquid containing nicotine with a valid doctors prescription is legal
  • Importing nicotine for personal use from overseas is legal, with a prescription from a doctor
  • The sale of vapes or e-liquids containing nicotine is illegal, unless being sold from a pharmacy
  • It is illegal to vape in smoke-free zones (indoor and outdoor)
  • Selling any vape to people under the age of 18 is illegal
  • Using vapes in cars with children under the age of 16 is illegal
  • Vape products and advertisements cannot be seen by the public within our outside of the store

URGENT: The Federal Government recently announce planned changes and bans surrounding vapes that could see these laws change.  Click here to read the announcement, and make your voice heard by signing the petition and emailing your MP
